If your feelings would comprimise the happiness and security of someone else than I would say bottle it up. For instance if someone was married. Regardless if there is a mutual attraction, to be the cause of ending a marriage and/or friendship is really unforgiveable. Your question is very vague. All situations are circumstantial when it comes down to it. Since you are stressing "regardless of the situation" it leads one to believe that there is a moral dilemna thwarting your proclamation of love. Love is pure and wholesome, if that love means that you must love from afar for the sake of morality, do so. You will sleep easier at night.

Well, yeah the bigger question of whether some things are better left unsaid, I believe that's true. On the other hand, when it comes to leaving feelings unexpressed, I have to disagree....if I feel it, I'm going to spill it. Otherwise I'd resign myself to being content to sit and love someone from afar....maybe later, right now if I love them, I want to be all up on them, so I have to tell them about it. What they do with the information is on them.

I think in most situations I would be honest. If it would hurt someone, like if they were in a relationship and it would cause problems, then in that case I think I would keep it to myself.

Oh my, I often find that very hard to understand too, but lately I've came out and said how I felt about my fiance to him. But it's hard when they haven't told you how they feel about you, so you feel like they don't feel the same way. I would say have a talk with him before you go off telling him how you feel, try asking how he feels.

It would depend on the situation. If it would hurt someone's feelings or make them feel uncomfortable. Or make their situation worse for them, then no, I would not tell them.
