I used to, but a lot of it ran away because it didn't like to be made fun of, so I quit. I want to keep the rest of it around.

When was that, the 60s?
Anyhow I was working back then and the gals used to come in with their hair teased up at least 6". This was in LA.
The hairdresser would lift the
hair and spray...tease and spray...what a mess. Why
did we ever do that?
Even a hurricane wouldn't
mess up that hair.

How did we so that to ourselves! Yes, and I can't believe those days. Beehives, good grief. There are still some people who have their hair teased. I went to the hairdresser in SA in February this year, and a lady my age had a bob, but she insisted that it be teased and sprayed with lots of hairspray.

A long time ago on a planet far, far away....I would hate to show you a copy of my Grade 8 graduation pic....
White organza dress (looked something like a curtain actually with those vertical gathers through the bodice), baby blue cat's eye lensed glasses with three rhinestones on the outer points. And my natural curls teased out to there!
I was not a pretty child.

Yes, I think I did. I still do a bit of teasing since my hair is so fine and it needs some kind of a lift.

No, most of my life my hair has been too long to do anything like that, I did have a spell about 6 years ago when I had it cut short, but never even thought of doing that, Thankfully its way down my back again, and that's the way it will stay.

I have to when I have to wear my traditional outfit. I hate it because it's hard to undo, especially as my hair is not short. ( longer than the hair you have in your avatar.
Sure when I was teens going to party, or when the style needs to tease it, I did it as well.
But my hair was not long at that time.
Remember Cleopatra style or Suzanne Pl **** whatever her name was, partner of , I think Troy Donahue ( do I spell it right? ) .
And the balloon dress.
And dancing ....Twist !!! I remember all that.

Still do sometimes...it's short (like my picture)..beautician says it's thick but fine. Can't believe the thick part. Only way I can get body in it. Doesn't seem fine to me. In 60s I was in college with longer hair and did. Luvs....how in the world could she tease AND curl??? They don't go together!!PS..It was a "Godsend" for me...my hair has never had "body".

Once! Then had to brush it out later. One time of that crap was enough to say the least.
The rumor mill of that time period told of roaches making a home in gals hair if they left it teased up too long without washing it. Hate roaches!!!
