First of all, don't stop nursing him!
If he's lacking anything in his diet, breast milk will make up for it.
Have you tried an allergist??
I had a similar problem with my son for a while and it turned out to be food allergies.
The allergist told us to never force a baby or toddler to eat something. They have a natural aversion to things that they are allergic to, and tend to be more in touch with how their bodies work than adults are.
Until you figure out what's going on, please don't try to force anything on him just in case, particularly any of the 'big eight' (peanuts, milk, eggs, soy, wheat, fish, shellfish, and tree nuts. These eight foods cause more than 90 percent of all food allergic reactions.)

hi! I know you are worried, I am sorry! My 13 month old weighs 20 lbs, and is 25% for her height and weight. A few months ago she was 15% for height and weight. I stopped nursing her at 1 yr old, but because she kinda did it herself. I was testing out sippie cups for water, and put soy milk (silk fortified w/ dha and omega) and heated it in the microwave for a few sec. After she had a taste, she didn't want me anymore. The taste seems to be sweet like breastmilk. My daughter too is picky, and still really wants to be fed baby food. I mix in rice cereal w/ banana or whatever she wants to eat. I also do meals every 2 hrs, which seems to help. I wonder about weight and the percentage stuff because who really can say what is healthy for your child? As long as you can get some routine down with food and liquids during the day, see where that takes you. Emma loves the Earth's Best peach/rice/banana....take care!

I went through the same as you. At 13 months, my son weighed 13 lbs. Every test known to man was run on him and everything came back normal. Try and feed him fatty foods, such as french fries, milkshakes, ice cream, hamburgers. I know that's not what parents want their kids to eat all the time but they have to get weight from somewhere!! My son will be 3 in December an he now weighs 26 lbs. He's SUCH a picky eater and sometimes doesn't eat anything but a cracker all day. Other days he'll pig out. Just keep offering him food and leave it sit out for him if he won't eat it at the time you give it to him. Hopefully he'll much on it sometime during the day.
Good luck.

The first thing that comes to mind when a child doesn't eat is...try to fatten' him up with this, that, and whatever. Nope.
Make food and drink fun. Have special time in morning, lunch, and dinner. Put toys and play music when you're at the table eating. Have colorful food and drink. Show your son how to play with food using your hands by putting food in your mouth. Have good food, not fatty. Start out with Jello (always fun) use reds, purples, shapes, etc. By them from the store premade. Buy applesauce, pudding, etc. Something light will be the best because if he hasn't eaten for a while his stomach is small and heavy foods will make him feel sick.
Do this at the same time every day that is important. No pressure to make him eat. He will watch you eat and therefore after time will join in. It may not be what you want but you need to do it for him. Forget manners, they are not important and easy to correct later, much later.
Too many worrys, not enough fun with food. Clap, praise, and play with food. Eat with him!!! Monkey see monkey will do. It is hard but it worked with my little ones. I was so stressed and worried I didn't see anyother options. Also, I have had 19 intestinal surgeries and flavored vitimin water, propel, is good. Tasty, colorful, and works. It takes time to make the tummy grow and feel good. Go for the goal, find children's eating shows and sit and watch them with him. Make food, create, and laugh. He will come around one teaspoon at a time. Oh yeah..have him feed you and you eat.

Sounds like a feeding delay. Call in your local Early Intervention program and they can help. My 11 mo. old has a feeding delay and now with treatment she is begining to eat. GL u should be able to google the number for your local EI

There is no need to wean from breastmilk at age two, in fact there are numerous reasons NOT to wean from breastmilk at age one.
Breastmilk is very high in calories, protein and fat and after about age one the levels of calories, protein and fat in breastmilk increase.

woah. first thing you need to do is to consult to your pedia. he/she could possibly ask you to buy vitamins for your child. just follow what the doctor says. and oh, be sure to feed your child AT LEAST 3 times a day because babies should have a lot of vitamins for their critical development.

I'd try a McDondald's chocolate milk shake or Wendy's frosty - honestly! You may also want to try and get a second medical opinion just to be sure - here's a good website covering the topic:
