I have never installed anything into my pc but how hard could it be?
Also, would this port work in my pc?

Supremely easy, it'll take you around one minute to install the card into your machine.
And yes, that product should work just fine.

I think it is fairly basic, probably about a level 1 or 2

A software firewall is easy to install, and most hardware firewalls are fairly easy. The add-on PCI card should be very easy, as long as you have an open PCI slot to put it in.
