I am using nero 6 and it still burns slow. I have even tried recordnow, and roxio, still the same result, both burners are burning slow, but like I said they never burned slow before until my computer crashed. Is there anything else I can do besides buy a new computer?

I would tell you to set the burn speed higher but that could compromise the quality of the dvd . Also know that dvd burning is actually a complicated process and is extremely demanding on your computer especially if it has to convert the files. But anything passed 30 minutes i would say that there is something wrong. I also would try using a different program and try updating your drivers. One last thing is that the type of cd you could be using might not support the fast speed burn thus you computer has to slow down at which it burns the dvd because nay higher the dvd will not allow. check to see if it is at 16x

you want a severe velocity dvd burner. The utility outruns the surely dvd burner 999 situations out of 1000. in case you like an excellent form of copies rapid, try getting different burners on your laptop, then you definately can burn 2 copies at as quickly as.

The speed of the burner determines the time needed to burn a disk. Maybe you aren't using a good software. Try Nero. I have version 6 and have no problems with it.
