dress trendy professional. You want to show them your sense of style confidently. Stand up straight, look them in the eye, and you will sell well.

I once found myself working in retail with no prior experience, so I was flying blind. What seemed to work best was a neat appearance, pleasant manners and more concern for the customer and their needs than my next break. Some customers would come to the shop and ask for me by name, even though I didn't know them. Don't kiss a**. Go the extra mile, if it means 8 hours on your feet during Christmas rush. The boss will remember come raise time.I'd love to tell a bunch of true, positive stories about my experiences, but this isn't a book. Know your merchandise and keep smiling. If something bad happens, don't cuss or lose your cool, just say something like:"RABBITS!" and keep going. The customers will respect your self-control and consideration for their feelings.So will the boss. Best of luck.
