I got one D and no F's during the entire 4 years.

I've gotten 2 Ds but no Fs.....but I did have an F on a midquarter grade once....but somehow, I raised it up to a B!

We had "E's" when I was in high school. They actually went in alphabetical order! One D or one failing grade CAN be brought back up with some hard work. If you want to make a good impression, GROUND YOURSELF and bury yourself in your studies.
