Because he's the only candidate who wants to follow the Constitution, limit spending, cut taxes, focus on America rather than interfere with every other country's business, bring our troops home, secure our borders, and return our individual freedoms to us by reducing the role of the federal government. In short, none of the special interests groups stand to make any money from him or see their agenda promoted with a one-size-fits-all policy.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTARY:
1 - Ron Paul is nothing like Hitler, anyone who says otherwise is either foolish, flat out lying, or simply trying to smear his name because they're afraid that he might actually win.
2 - He doesn't want to eliminate the federal government, he just wants to reduce its role so that we have more control over lives. He wants to do this by giving individual states more authority.
3 - Ron Paul is not an isolationist. He wants to practice diplomacy and commerce with other nations rather than having U.S. troops police the world - something the U.N. wants the U.S. to do.
I'm voting for Ron Paul based on his positions on the issues, not because I'm afraid of any other candidate winning. Ron Paul is the only true conservative in this election. Even if he doesn't win, I'd rather vote with a clear conscious than choose between the lesser of two evils, again.

I don't think it has much to do with money. It has more to do with public opinion polls. At this time he is still in single digits. While it is not impossible for his to rise to the tops of the heap, it is unlikely.
As a Ron Paul supporter, I will vote for him in my states primary, but I doubt he will win. If he does not get the Republican nomination than I will write him in or vote for a third party in the general election.

Why does he have no chance?
Well... for starters, the man is a loon.
Yes, I said it... he's a loon. He's a well-intentioned loon. He believes in our Constitution. He's well-educated and has a great deal of conviction... but he's still a loon.
Why?
Those of you who say you support Ron Paul... do you even know what he stands for?
He wants to abolish the Department of Homeland Security.
That's right. In his fantasyland, there won't be any more of those pesky terrorists attacking us here because, well, as soon as we pull out of Iraq and leave the people there to the Iranians, Syrians and Al Qaeda to exploit... they'll leave us alone.
Whatever the man is smoking... he should be under arrest for it.
Anyone who truly believes that is a moron and really doesn't even deserve discussion as a serious candidate. He's not Presidential material. He has plenty of conviction but it's not reasonable or intelligent conviction. He's a Libertarian...
that should be all you really need to know.
Sorry to be so frank, but it's the truth.

different GOP applicants think of "Who else will they vote for?" Will Ron Paul supporters shift to vote for Obama? i think of not. Who will you help if Ron Paul isn't the candidate?

Because he does not have support in numbers required to win a national election. The average citizen knows nothing about him.

I won't attempt to speak to his chances of winning, but I can say that I would NEVER vote for him. Some of his ideas are good, except for when he takes them too far. Completely eliminate the Federal government? Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.
Don't get me wrong. I'm all for reducing pullng out of Iraq and reducing government waste. But this isn't 150 years ago. In our time, our government exists for more than just to protect us from foreign invaders.
Likewise, I'm completely against his social agenda. By revoking the right to abortion, you destroy the right to privacy. From a legal standpoint, the two go hand-in-hand. And preventing unmarried couples or same-sex couples from enjoying any of the rights of married couples? Talk about social elitism. I don't need my president to tell me what the moral way to live my life is.
EDIT FOR RICHIE: Guliani has no chance to win. Only two groups will vote for him; traditional republicans, and people who would vote for a tree stump if it was a republican. The psuedo-republicans that have taken over the core of the republican party in the past 13 years won't accept him. He's too liberal. Never mind that a politician with his views twenty years ago would have been considered a staunch conservative. People like Carl Rove have pushed the line so far to the right that new republicans can't support anyone might appeal to the middle of the spectrum.

1% of the vote means that he won't get the nomination.
That site is bogus! Hillary is the front runner and it has Kisinich? Thompson & Rudy are front runners and it has Paul?
