Well, consider this: people who really believe in America, in its vales and institutions--in the strength of our country--are not willing to surrender the liberties and rights our forfathers fought and died to bequeath to us.

Those people are not afraid of the rest of the world--they have faith in America and would--and do--oppose any attempt by power-seeking demagogues who demand we traid those rights for the sake of "security."

Only a person who is very afraid and does not believe in America would do that. And--as the public record proves beyond question--that is an accurate description of the Republicans who continue to support the Bush regime.

Some psychologists attribute this abnormal fear of these people from their childhood when their parents told them to behave or the boogeyman would come out of the closet and eat them. More progressive people don't do that to their children, so these children grow up to be more balanced.

Must be the Republicans who are cognizant of the dangers of the world. Democrats tend to live in "happy bubbles" seemingly unwilling to admit that the world is, indeed, a dangerous place.
