I've tried wiping it all up and airing it out, the worst part is this laptop contains everything - all my work, emails, documents that i need.
The urine has gotten into the keyboard and when i lifted it up dribbled out the back.
I tried calling the Toshiba Information Line, except they don't accept calls on the weekend.
I need help, desperately

Sorry to say but probably laptop dead. When liquid go from keyboard to the back and you tried to turn it on, a kind of short-circuit, DAMAGED YOUR MOTHERBOARD.

If you're lucky maybe motherboard has a protection and cut off the power to prevent any damage. Try to dry it completely, use a hair pistol if you have one, and don't turn power on before you absolutely sure it's dry.

When it's dry, and you're sure about it then try to power it on again.

But you must be absolutely sure it's dry.
For me better to wait till Monday, bring it to a technician or Toshiba costume care, to open and dry it.

If any damage with laptop, at least hard disk maybe in a good condition and they can connect it to another laptop so AT LEAST you can save your DATA.

Best of Luck

First thing: Remove battery.
Seond thing: Remove the Hard drive. It should be fairly simply to remove - most just need a screw driver..

Once you get the Hard Drive out(be careful not to touch anything that looks like a circuit), if it's not wet, then all your data might still be safe.

Once it's dry, take the system to a tech shop. Hopefully they may be able to save it. If not, they could probably back up the important data on your hard drive to a DVD or something so you could access it while you get a new laptop.

Yank the battery and turn it upside down and let it dry out for a day or so then try it. Because its cat pee you'll probably have to open it up and clean it somehow. I'd pull the hard drive out too. If you have to buy a new laptop you could buy the same exact model as what your cat wrecked and pull its hard drive out and put your old hard drive in. Since its the exact same laptop model it would boot up like before your cat peed on your other one.

I'd BOOT the cat,but that's just me... No seriously, one of my cats pees all over everything in my house on occasion. Why do I keep him?

Use canned air to get the moisture out of every crevice. Cat urine can be real corrosive.

I suggest pulling the hard drive and installing it into another laptop so you can recover your data.

Also ... save yourself some headaches... keep regular backups of important stuff on a removable device like a CD-R or even a flash drive.

best option:
buy a new laptop
go to your local PC store with both computers
ask them to transfer data from the hard drive of the computer the cat peed on to the hard drive of the new computer
also, kudos on using Toshiba ;)
and don't forget to in the future put ur laptop somewhere the cat cant get it such as outside the litterbox rather than in it (lol jk)

Hi. Urine conducts electricity. I would take it to a shop (well, OK I would try to disassemble it and clean it) and explain what happened. If it is ruined then the hard drive can be swapped to a newer machine and you should be able to recover what you have. BAD kitty!

I would wait a couple days for everything to dry out...DO NOT TURN IT ON!

if it's still fried....and you need your data...chances are the hard drive isnt messed up...have someone take it out, and get the data from it.
