My husband and I have not been getting along lately and we have a lot of stressers. He is gone out of state for a week and I want to do something thoughtful and special for him when he gets back. Any ideas???Are flowers lame to give a guy?

Flowers are kinda lame for a guy. You need to do something heart felt. It is nice to get things and do things that you think he will like but, if it is heart felt it will go a lot farther. It should also be something you would like him to have or something you Want to do to or for him. If it is not something you want to do or something you want him to have it will not go over as well. Trust me guys know when you are not happy that we are doing something, or you dont like us doing something. Good luck. I hope this helps. I am sure he Misses you and is thinking about you right now

My husband has always felt cheated I never buy him flowers. Some guys like that. I think the best answer is Be Naked. Bring Beer. That's what my husband's always said, and he's a happy guy. Or buy a massage book and give him an all him night.... massage, dinner, no stress, no talking about anything other than what he wants to even if it means not talking, sex for him... how he wants it, sometimes we just have to remind them how much we love them. And sex is the best de-stresser ever.

My husband had to go out of town for training and was gone a month. When we got together, all he wanted was quiet time with me. I would say cook his favorite meal; make sure the house is straightened out. If you have kids, see if you can get the grandparents or a family friend to sit for you for the night. Resist the temptation to bring up unresolved problems. In fact, let him know that while you need to talk about some things, you want the next 24 hours to be about both of you being happy.
Frankly, whether you're a man or a woman, I believe that your home is your sanctuary. It should be a refuge from the rest of the world. If I were in your husband's place, I'd just want to come home and be loved.

I am sorry to hear your having problems.I think you should leave a note for him to see when he walks in the door that says how you feel about him.(I once had my husband and I write a list of all the things we love about each other, it was really heartwarming to read what he wrote.) Make his favorite dinner and dessert.You could give him a candlelight massage/bath if he would be into that sort of thing.My husband once said guys like flowers too,I think he was joking,I hope guys will answer that for you!Marriage can be difficult, you just need to remember why you got married and work at it!I wish you lots of luck:)

Flowers are nice, but the best thing you can do is just to show you care. Guys like things that are simple and clear; if you just talk to him, and say, "I know that things haven't been going well lately, but I really love you and I wanted to do something special for you... " that would probably mean more to him than anything that you actually do.

Don't be home when he gets back. Leave him clues, like a treasure hunt. Having the last clue lead him to you, in a nice room in a nice romantic setting( rose pedals on the bed& candles) with a nice dinner. Its a nice idea.

Well you can make him a night he will always remember. find the sexiest outfit or costume you can find sexy pumps to go with it. pick a sexy sensual and seductive song. put together a routine. (exotic dance) once he comes home have a nice dinner and/or a hot bath ran for him. sit him down and give him his night to remember. it worked for me.

buy him something that he really loves, suprise him with a relaxing, sex filled evening, but you should not ever try to make anyone happy its thier own choice to be happy or not, thats how a lot of marriages fail. good luck!

Tell him that you APPRECIATE him and that you ADMIRE him for all the wonderful things he does for you.
