you say he had a group of kids to take care of? that's a big job to do and i really wouldn't worry about him being distant...he was probably distracted! if it bothers you that much, just ask him about it and tell him how you feel.

if he had a bunch of kids to take care of its hard to pay complete attention to you, i dont mean this in a bad way, kids do need alot of attention an care,he was prolly just trying to do more than one thing.made him sound distant
