Maybe it will be more fun than trouble. Sometimes, when we rely on our guts, we let go of paralysis by analysis. Then we accomplish more, and have lots of time for more pleasant things.
Also, doing things by gut feel keeps our adrenalin up.

it would depend on the gravity of what you have done. if you knew that you will get in trouble for lying to someone but you threw caution to the wind and lied anyway, then the trouble would be tantamount to that (after the person found out that s/he had been lied to).
if in such deeper cases as say, having unprotected sex, you knew you might get pregnant or you will get STD but still you threw caution to the wind, then this spells GARGANTUAN trouble.
it's really per case, per scenario.
just my thought. :)

You WON"T get in trouble... BUT you WILL end up having a LOT of FUN, FUN, and more FUN!!!
You don't have to be WRECKLESS to have some fun -- there is a BIG difference..
Throwing caution to the wind just means being a little DARING and ADVENTURESOME.... : )
LIVE LIFE, MY DEAR!!!

FUN FUN FUN.
We can all get dead drunk.
Be merry.
Have a lot of s_x and no worries
Sing all the songs until our throats are hoarse
Take a shower in the rain anytime, 6 oclock would still be good, 10pm still good, no worries about getting sick.
Be crazy.
Life is short.

In very deep trouble. It pays to be cautious at all times. It might mean a life saved, your life perhaps or the life of a loved one. It might also mean your future or future success.

it would have to be a lot. in life, we have to protect ourselves as the saying goes "an ounce of precaution is better than a a pound of cure."
ooops it should be prevention. but it could be precaution.
