If they are in his custody during his visitation time it seems that you would have no say in whether or not she talks to them. Unless she is a bad influence, ie a drug addict, murderer lol Seems like you might just have to deal with her.

No she has no criminal rights and you do not could permit her to chat to them. yet once you prefer existence to be easier on your little ones the two interior the fast and long tearm then I see no situation with it until eventually she is inflicting situation. If she is superb and the youngsters like her what does it harm different then she your ex's new female pal. only remeber until eventually she replaced into the different woman that broke you 2 up she has carried out not something incorrect and is in all threat attempting to be a chum to the youngsters. i comprehend it shard which you will execpt that she is going to be aside of there existence yet only remeber that your little ones have a magnificent to be superb or maybe like her. it is extra clever in the event that they do like her because of the fact then all of you've alot much less rigidity on your lifes good success

I'm just recently divorced.....And while we might not like the prospect of having our children exposed to the unfavorable......The court says that he,, as well as you ,has every right to to persue another relationship. As mothers, our job is to teach our children the difference between right and wrong, and how to act as adults. The decisions you make right now about this situation will forever mold who they will become. What I've told my children is this....Mom has taught you to treat ALL adults with respect and consideration, and that you have to love, honour, and respect your dad no matter what. You have to think of what is in the best interest of the children so that they are not caught in the middle feeling like they have to choose between you. So I tell my children to try and think about his feelings and what she may be bringing into his life....They need to be supportive of that. We would want that same support and consideration. Do we have to like it?......NO! But we need to leave some things unsaid for their sakes. Take comfort in knowing that when all is said and done, you taught your kids to be caring, compassionate people. Walk with your head high, not allowing them to pick up on your feelings toward her, for their sakes.

Unless she is deranged, I see no problem letting the children develop a relationship with the girlfriend.

I am afraid this is a common problem, but, yes, you do have to give up control of that situation. If she is stable, kind and treats your kids well, then let it go. You will always be there Mom no matter who else is in their lives.

If she wants to be a part of your kids life and she isn't going to be a bad inflence on her then i may help your kids deal with 'daddy gettin a new girl' better than if you refuse to let them see her. That will rub off on the kids and casue problems. :)

Unfortunately honey you don't have a choice, I know its hard but you have to leave that judgement call up to their dad and hope he makes the right choice. Good luck!

Yes, I think you do have to let her talk to them.
Unless, she has a drug/alcohol problem. Or is a VERY bad influence.

realistically she could become their stepmom. I don't think you can, nor in all honesty should you try to prevent her communicating with them--with the obvious exceptions: If she's being abusive or poisoning them against you.
