The Irish singing group, Celtic Woman, is following in the footsteps of Clannad, Enya, Loreena McKennitt, and Silly Sisters to name but a few. Their stage production is inspired of course by the sweeping productions of Michael Flatley, and Riverdance comes to mind when watching their video special. I believe that their blonde fiddler was part of Flatley's Lord of the Dance ensemble.
They are coming to Huntington West Virginia on Oct. 30th, and my tickets are already purchased. They are all hauntingly beautiful, in voice and body, and the music of the Celts sings thru every vein in my body and every corner of my soul.

Irish celtic women have always had the reputation of being pretty.
Welsh women aren't as well known, but I think Catherine Zeta Jones is extremely good looking.
As someone said the 'red' hair may have more to do with later invaders than celts, although the Romans did describe the celts as 'tall and fair'
The very dark strain (dark brown or near black hair)that is so evident in the celtic countries (esp when coupled with dark eyes & olive skin) is actually likely to be from 'pre celtic' genes--the bronze age and neolithic people who lived in the area prior to any celtic incursion.(the number of celtic invaders was actually small--they just imposed themselves as a warrior aristocracy) This has recently been proved by recent dna testing which showed most Irish/Welsh people have a dna match closer to the basques of Spain, than to an ancient celt from central Europe.

If by Celtic, you are referring to the woman of Irsih descent, then you need to know that Celtic does NOT ONLY refer to the peoples of Ireland, It refers to ALL the people of the British Isles and Northwestern Normandy. ALL of whom are of Celtic descent. The ladys you see with Faliming RED hair are NOT of Celtic descent but rather are of Viking descent. Celts tend to have fair skin, dark hair, average stature and may have either blue or brown eyes. The Celts originated in northern France and the southern BeNeLux region of mainland Europe and invaded the bitish isles and displaced the Picts, Angles and Saxons that lived in the British Isles of the era.
However to answer the intent of the question, yes, I find Irish women to be quite good looking, although of a fiery temperament.

I am a red-blooded man. In other words, only the lack of opportunity prevents me from loving any woman, Celtic, Japanese, or whatever.
