I don't watch TV at all and haven't done so for more than 6 years. At work there is a TV but it's mostly on CNN or CBS just to keep up with the Media coverage of events in the world. then I come home and check out the REAL news on the internet. I tend to go to the direcdt sources for my news as I don't get the Mass Media filtered version of things but get the straight story from the source, in MOST cases. the Weather report on the TV is completely useless so I use the NWS data and come up with my own forecast for MY area. (Our weather is from the Minneapolis area and has NO relevance to us here in Northern Minnesota, 250 miles away from them).

Can I give the opposing viewpoint here?
We don't have TV in our home and we've been TV free for several years now.
I've never watched House, Desperate Housewives, Lost, etc, and have only briefly watched a few TV shows.
HEre is what we've gained...
A lot less TV remote fights
Kids come to the table for meals instead of "just a few minutes mom" while the end of the show comes on.
We have more time for other activities.
So, I know that this doesn't work for others, but once we got used to it, we are doing pretty well.

I actually don't watch TV much... but when I do I watch the History Channel... Discovery, Military and the Outdoor Channel (especially deer hunting shows - yes, I shoot bambi whenever I get a clear shot). Though the most recent movie I've watched that I really enjoyed was Wild Hogs... I laughed so hard all the way through that movie lol =) The other recent movie I've watched that I LOVE is 300. =)

I sometimes watch the History Channel, Discovery Channel, Thursday night NBC shows (8:00 - 10:00 pm), Heroes, Simpsons, Family Guy.
Most of the time, the TV is off.

I got rid of television completely 2 years ago. I have never regretted the decision. I can not imagine I will be gettting it back ever. I watch more quality stuff now, the internet is a lovely place. The only shows I really watch are House, 24 and Dexter.

My favorite TV station is Fox. I pretty much live off that station. I love Prison Break, Fox news, Til Death, The Simpsons, Kitchen Nightmares, etc...
I also like a few shows on VH1...like Rock of Love..when it was on, and right now, America's Most Smartest Model.

Yes. I watch mostly History, Discovery channel. And some creepy shows.

I like to watch, Justice Files,The new Detectives, Investigative reports, History Channel, and FBI files. Very, Very, Interesting Programs, that helps you learn a lot.
