For 13 years I was on the road visiting old people to do assessments for services. Nobody ever read my reports. I had a company car, company computer, phone and I worked 10-3 and played tennis during the day. I only had to do 3 cases a day and got paid $65,000 a year. Best job ever.

I was a teacher at a prestigious private academy, where we had the children of many celebrities, politicians,multi-millionaires, and at least 3 billionaires.

Why was it the best?

Well...........not only did I get to mingle with a ton of interesting people, and be in some homes you would not believe if I described them, but teachers got Xmas and other gifts such as high-priced jewelry and ski trips.

And every Monday morning, all the staff had a pre-schoolhours meeting in the conference (huge) room, which always included a breakfast buffett.

We usually had some kind of special fancy dinner or luncheon event that was catered each month, as well as two yearly "Teacher Appreciation Luncheons" where we had unbelievable theme feasts, and recieved gifts, gift baskets, and gift cards for things like Burke Williams spa treatments and massages.
*sigh*
I wish I was still there....

Back in 1967 I got a job at a garage fixing tires, for 10Th grade it was OK. The head mechanic was certified GM on all systems. I would watch him work on a car, and it could be a piece of junk. But He gave it what ever it needed and it was like a different car when he got done with it. I had the audacity of asking him if he would teach me how to do tune ups and he said "Sure Kiddo" pull your car in here. I watched as he explained the ignition system and he had me pull the distributor. When we were done my Buick v6 ran like new and that's when I decided to go to technical school and become a mechanic and I haven't stopped learning since.

That an easy question for me. I'd say the best job I ever had would definitely be, being a MOM to my beautiful daughter, and now, Nanny, to my precious granddaughter.

Why?, you ask...... because the rewards are absolutely awesome. I stand back and look at my daughter & granddaughter together, and I'm like........damn girl.....you did alright.......the "fruits of my labor" really paid off. It's the very best job I EVER had.

When I was a kid all the boy's wanted to drive a train. I became a miner and my job for a lot of years was driving the locomotives underground. Strangest thing that ever happened was after driving my loco for 4 or 5 years they sent me on a course to learn to drive it, Yeah strange but true, I showed the instructor a few tricks he hadn't come across and it was the easiest week of my life. Loved my train, all 250 tons of it

I work at a hotel and love it! I get to meet people from all over the world! It doesn't make great money but the people I work with including the owners and managers and the greatest! Plus, I'm in college so in the winter when its busy...I can spend most of my shift studying for classes and tests!

I agree with Skygirl78, Being a mom is the most satisfying job there is. I get joy just from the simple things such as grocery shopping. Just knowing I can provide for my children is rewarding.

I've been a DJ/karaoke host for 4 years now. that HAS to be about the best job EVER
1. Party/drink for FREE AND get paid for it
2. Lots of women flirt with me, and my wife is ok with that!
3. I get to sing when I want.
4. People have to LISTEN to me sing (LOL)
5. People bring me music all the time
6. I'm working on my 4th poster of pics on my "Cleavage Wall of Fame." Some young ladies are not at all discriminating about just how much cleavage they show! lol

My first job when I was 16 years old at the local grocery store, it really was the best most fun job! I think the reason for that was because those were my carefree years where I would spend my paycheck at the mall instead of the bills. I miss them days! : )

I was a Santa helper (elf) at a mall near my house. It was a fun job, taking pictures and dressing up. It paid a good amount, I had money for school. It was fun and I want to do it again this year.
