Today's rate at banks in Tijuana is as follows:
They will sell you 10.87 pesos per US$1
They will sell you US$1 for 10.98 pesos
The difference is the bank's profit margin.

If you don't live near the Mexican border, you probably can't spend them anywhere in the US. If you live near the border, you will have an easier time. Here in San Diego, some grocery stores take them, although at a rather low exchange rate.

pesos are mexican money, some banks deal in foreign exchanges and will give you the rate for that day....and will give you american or canadian money of your choice to spend anywhere in the world.
