i have been a habitual cracker of joints since i was very young. i remember learning to crack my fingers before learning to tie my shoes. i can crack 4 joints in my fingers, the palms of my hands, my wrists, elbows, my neck, my entire spine, the area where your leg meets your pelvic joint, knees, ankles, the tops and sides of my feet, and 3 joints in my toes. the problem is i HAVE to crack all these joints at least once an hour or i will physically get sick to my stomach. in order to fall asleep at night i have to crack all the joints in my fingers at least 100 times. could this possibly be a sign that i have some form of OCD?

Hahahahaha...quite possibly. Sorry, I found your dependence kind of amusing, even if you do not.

I've been cracking my joints for almost 10 years and I think it actually becomes physically addictive and necessary after a while. I crack just about everything as well and get stiff and uncomfortable if I don't. If you feel physically sick to your stomach, without cracking, maybe you do have some kind of OCD or another problem and should probably consult your doctor

Definately a cause to worry about very much could well be related to OCD.Its like checking the power switches are off 100 times every night before you retire for the night instead you are cracking your bones 100 times a day .Same thing.

I don't know, but I'd go see a psychiatrist to find out.

it could be. unfortunately ocd gets overdiagnosed. you need to find an expert doctor and tell him your situation. he'll know for sure what your problem is.
