Well, if your eye's are bluish, first of all DON'T wear blue eyeshadow. If you wear a shadow that's similar to your eyecolor, it really distracts people. The whole point of eyeshadow is to make the eyes pop, and if you use the same color as your eyes, it completely stops the whole process.
Basically, you should go with your skin tone. I know it's fair, but there are lots of different tones. If you have ashy skin, look for ashy undertones the the eyeshadow. Anything silvery. If you're warm, go for happy colors, but nothing too noticeable.
There's a LOT to this whole business and I can't tell all of it to you. Two great books about this topic, and some other things, too, are Color Me Confident and Makeup Makeovers. If you don't want to spend the time reading these and figuring all this out, then go to a department store makeup counter and have one of the girls do all of your makeup, or just get some tips from them. Mac usually has great people working for them, and their products are by far the best, and totally worth spending the extra bucks.
And one last thing, matching your makeup with your clothes is extremely tacky. Figure out what looks best and wear it with whatever you want.

Not only the eyeshadow but the color you wear around your face, for example the color of the collar of your shirt. I would think neutrals, browns, blks, purple, or maroon colors would probably be very good for your grey color eyes. Have you worn something and looked in the mirror and said wow my eyes look good or someone has said that about you, that might be the color you are looking for in eyeshadow. Also I believe it is CoverGirl that has a eyeshadow pack that is labeled as to which color should go wear, ex... lid, browline, crease, corners. Let me tell you that helps alot. I have noticed more people noticing my eyes since I started using these eyeshadows. Heck I even like my eyes more!!! Well I hope this helped!! Good luck!

I suggest wearing a deep navy eyeliner tight against the upper lash line w/ dark black mascara to bring out the gray in your eyes.
More color suggestions: http://www.beautyden.com/beautycolors.shtml
Makeup brands: Revlon & L'Oreal for eyeshadows, L'Oreal for mascara (any formula except LashOut).
