i know that no one agrees, but i think that it is very unlikely that there is life elsewhere and i will tell you why.
lets suppose (like most do) that that an earth-like planet is the most likely place for life to start. this may or may not be true, but seems reasonable. now of all of the planets in the universe, which is the most earth-like? i vote for earth.
as far as we can tell, in all of earths history and geography, life only happened one time and in one place. this also may or may not be true, but it is our best guess. it did not happen a few inches to the left or right. it did not happen before or since. not even the prompting of our best science in the most ideal lab setting has reproduced the event. the odds of it happening again by chance seem very long, even if every planet were exactly like earth. after all we dont see it happening here.
now anything, no matter how unlikely can happen once. if you dump a truckload of sand, it will fall into a very unlikely pattern. we know that it is unlikely because you can try to reproduce it over and over for all eternity an not expect the same result. just because it happened once it not an indication that it is likely to happen again.
life happened once but does not seem likely to happen again even on earth let alone another planet.
like the truck spilling sand it is easy to explain a single occurrence, but two? not likely.

Yes. I really don't believe that Life on Earth- is THAT "Special". And that there are probably many, MANY other forms of life- liberally scattered across OUR Universe, & all the others... There's a LOT of SPACE- out there... -It's only a matter of time & technology before we finally "hook up" -with one of our "Neighbors..." :)

The probability is that there is life elsewhere.
However, we do not have the technology to go see it, and perhaps never will.
As far as UFO are concerned, I believe that NONE of them are ships from other planets.

>> Tomatoes have been grown on mars ~ so the conditions for life on some other planets must exist. Whether actual life exists on other planets, I guess only time & progreesive technology will tell.
Ciao!

There is a possibility of life in other place other than Earth.
But the technology we have today might not be enough to find them.
