There is generally only one reason the dealer is more expensive. The amount of ovehead and the cost of keeping the techs trained has to be tied into services and parts. The quality of work can vary from one shop to another. Just make sure whomever does it they have the correct fitting for your vehicle to do the flush. And that they use the correct fluid. I would get out and watch them do it and look at the old and new fluid as it is being flushed. I have seen things about some shops not doing the service. Also ask questions as they are doing it. I own and operate 3 Quick Lubes in Michigan and we offer tranny flushes at my stores. I intentionally have the customer get out and watch the whole process. It is kind of cool to show them the old black fluid coming out and watch it slowly get better until the fluid is clean. They should run anywhere from 20-30 quarts through if they are going to do it right. Dealers arent always more expensive on things and they are great because they expertise on certain vehicle makes. Also ask them to price match if you would like to use them. They may work with you but if not then I would save the money and have a repitable independant shop change it.

I have had two nissan exterras , both where purchased brand new , and both i took to an independant shop to flush the transmission, the fact is that nissan will attempt to inflate there prices with flushing machines , which are not necessary ,back in the old days everyone changed oils and fluids and there where no machines to suction the fluids now they want to sell you additives and so forth and so on , then don't let them sell you a filter , that transmission is filter less , and lastly save the 90. + tax , you can take it some where else, as long as the genuine fluid is used . good luck. good carrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have mine done at a local instant oil change place. They have the same equipment and the same fluids. They are just cheaper. You normally have to make an appointment before you take it in. It takes about 1/2 hr to get it done. Thye do mine for $95 but it has been some time since I've got one done.

good luck.
