I would get a high flow catalatyic converter as this will improve perfomance, MPG'S and from Scion have a lifetime guarentee. If you get from junkyard you may save money Not to many TC's parts due to being recently been on market. Also if you get from junkyard, it could be no goood either and cost MPGs and perfomance.

try car-part.com online salvage yard, great prices if you want a used original one. If you would like a new one call various parts stores most stores have deals where they will beat competators prices just call around beware alot will try to sell you a universial one not a big deal just make sure you know what your getting. If you would like a aftermarket performance or high flow try nopi.com

Well man it's liek THSI! you do NOT need a new converter so SOP LOOKING! if you DO replace it, tit will fill up AGAIN with carbon The REAL issue is a bad AIR/FUEL mxitue. The converter will clean itself up WHEN the air/fuel mixture is retuned to MNORMAL! The FACTORY converter will las to 300k mies and MORE< bu YOU have to use the RIGHT engien oil (Synthetic MOBIL ONE 0W-30 and a few otheres ) and get your IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE cleaned up to SHOWROOM> The IAC fine tunesthe AIR entering the engine. it is a mystery to mots technicians, but it is the MOSt overlooked thing, and the CHEAPEST to deal with. A clogged up IAC will RUIN o2 senosrs and fill the converters up with CARBON!
