Is it ok to be bad if someone else is worse? I'm wondering specifically about the Jena 6. Supporters of the Jena 6 admitting six people ganged up to beat up one person. Basically, they say it's no big deal because the victim deserved it: that the victim did something even worse. Is that really appropriate logic?

No, not at all in my opinion. The victim didn't deserve what was done to him. No one has the right to beat up anyone else. It's wrong, wrong and wrong. I think the Jena 6 need to go to jail for a long time because they broke the law simple as that. They did an uncivilized thing. No if, ands or buts. I don't see where they had any injustice done to them at all. None of those who are defending these cruel boys have proper logic, I'm sorry to say but I feel this is the truth.

Check the story again. The victim of the attack was never named as a participant in any of the prior incidents. The six stated that they attacked him because he was a friend of one of the guys they didn't like.

This is a case of Felony Assault. It is not attempted murder but it should be prosecuted whether or not Jesse Jackson can fool enough people into thinking it is okay to attack one person for no other reason than guilt by association.

No. Lowering oneself to someone Else's BAD example- makes YOU look bad (& not too bright- on top of it). The entire Jenna 6 incident was a foolish, teenage fight- that the local School Authorities let get out of hand. There was NO "logic" to anything that happened there that day; & THAT goes for all the people who piled onto a situation that was nobodys business outside of that School & the people involved..
