Stand up straight and try to find the lump again. My guess is that you are feeling a normal part of your anatomy but that is not necessarily true. It is a good idea to get suspicious lumps checked out by a doctor. Does it hurt? Are there other symptoms? Would you even be too embarrassed to talk to a female medical professional? If this is because you are a minor living with your parents, here's what I used to do in that situation: call your medical doctor. If you see a male, tell the receptionist you want to talk to a female physician about an issue you are having (and later tell your parent that you do not want to see a male anymore). When the doc calls back tell her what happened. If you need a less-embarrassing excuse just say you were inserting (or trying to insert) a tampon. It seems embarrassing I know, but if something is wrong with your reproductive system, time is of the essence! The longer you wait, the more embarrassing and invasive the procedures would get. That's IF there's something wrong. Being a a post-childhood human is fraught with strange and embarrassing genital situations. You're not alone- 49% of humans have to deal with vagina ownership. Stay calm!

The other thing is that you could have noticed an area called the cervix which is the lowest part of our uterus. If this is what you felt that is normal to have. I remember when I first felt mine and I thought, "what's this" and then tried to pull on it and felt pain in my uterus (no I'm not recommending you do this).

I would recommend letting your mom know about what you noticed and also your doctor when you see him for your next check up to see what they say.

I know that asking your mom ay be embaressing. But it's better to be embaressed than put your health to risk. So just ask your mom or go to the gyno. Besides as soon as your mom tells you, you won't feel so embaressed.
