Short answer is yes. I have been labeled myself due to the fact I was hit by a 17 year old Mexican girl with no DL. She had a car and insurance but of course can't get a DL.

She couldn't speak nor write English. When we went to court she claimed to be a senior at the local High School. Which got me interested on how she is unable to speak or write our language being in our High Schools.

Of course this was her second offence of driving without a DL, The judge of course had her pay her fine and gave her driving school. Never asked her or her father for a green card either. I thought it was funny giving someone without a DL driving school.

I also called the High School and found out that students such as her have a special class with a Spanish speaking teacher. They aren't required to get the 4 English credits as other students and are basically handed a American High School Diploma.

I wrote my local paper with all my concerns and of course I have been called at home and accused of being a Klan member and all sorts of BS.

I just want them to do everything correctly or go home. I mean my families Christmas is over this year. Their insurance only wanted to pay 70% of the crash. You know playing games like they do. So I had to get mine to fix it and come out of pocket 500 hundred and another 600 for a rental car. That is 1100 bucks I had saved for Christmas I won't get back for more then a year if at all.

So due to these issues I get to explain to my wife and others we will not be having Xmas this year.

I agree with many of the sentiments here. When discussing political matters among rational adults who are mature enough to agree to disagree, you can already criticize his actions, inactions, and positions without being labeled racist, provided that your criticism is relevant, founded, and not *actually* racist in nature. Most sensible people know exactly what racist really is - if you are calling him a terrorist, a house n*gro, or playing on the fears of others by implying he's Muslim, then you should probably expect others to consider your thoughts racist. The fact that he has only been in office for a few days is irrelevant to criticizing him. He has been in politics for some time, and his known policy and political positions and trail of actions and inactions should be very much open for discussion, both among supporters and criticizers. And I don't know where people here have been - but Bush and Cheney were both attacked for being white men on several occasions, and those who were injecting race into the conversation then were not accused of being racist. While I hope people recall this when race comes up with Obama from time to time, I'm quite certain convenient short-term memories will prevail now that the agenda of many has changed. But you know as well as I and others here know that there will always be those sensitive, defensive, victim mentality drama junkies out there seeking out things to be offended by. Perhaps the day will come that some of these race-baiters will individually grow up and into a spine and acquire the interest and knowledge needed to actually contribute to conversations without pathetically throwing around "racist" and other baseless personal insults to distract from their cluelessness and academic immaturity. But the day will never come that all such thin-skinned individuals will either mature as described or even learn to stay out of conversations they aren't grown enough to handle like respectable ladies and gentleman.

Protesting illegal immigration isn't necessarily racism, so someone protesting illegal immigration shouldn't fear being labeled a racist.
Illegal immigration, just like anything else deemed illegal, isn't accepted mostly because it's illegal. Just as a bank robber can be ostracized because he commited an illegal act, so can an illegal immigrant.

They should be protested, and some of us aren't afraid to do just that. Unfortunately, most people are afraid of "hurting somebody's feelings" or "being racist" or not being "politically correct." I am *not* one of these people.

Americans don't like paying taxes from their hard-earned living so some lazy, worthless illegals who refuse to learn our language can live here for free, take our jobs, and make our crime rate skyrocket. They just know that the monkey that is our president will give them anything they want and that's why they continue to plague us.

I think so. I have nothing against immigrants and i can sympathize with illegal immigrants if there situations were bad enough to push them to come here illegally and they genuinely want to be here. however, i think the ones that bring crime, drugs, gangs to this country so be deported immediately! i also think the ones who are here for long periods of time refuse to learn any english or legalize there status should be deported as well.

Americans aren't protesting because they have things to do. You can't just skip work or school to protest. Numerous polls show that Americansthink the illegal immigrants should be sent back.

No, I think it's because Americans are busy working so we don't have time to come out and protest. But, believe me, if I thought taking a day off work to protest would get rid of the illegals I'd gladly be there.

You may be right. I see more protesting for better treatment by illegal immigrants than protesting against their being here. Could it be that as Americans we're trying to find a balance between not wanting them here illegally, receiving funds from sources they are not entitled to, versus being Americans who should welcome foreigners with open arms, helping them to settle in our country?

I think that is the main fear that people have for not speaking out against illegal immigration. I know that's the reason why I'm not very vocal about the issue. I don't want people to think that I'm racist.
