It's awful. Stick with Aubrey (boy) or Audrey (girl).

I went to school with a girl named Auburn and she's the only one I know with that name, so I automatically think "girl" It's a lovely name though!

I think of it as a girls name, like Aubrie. Because it is a hair color, stay away from it if you have the last name Brown (I once heard of an Auburn Brown, which sounds ridiculous)i think it is really pretty. For a boy, maybe try Aubren. That sounds more like a boys name.

I think it fits more of a girls name because ive actually seen a teacher named Auburn Chioiana and she absalutely nice!

I could suggest some nicknames for Auburn. Like Abree, Bobby (make sure its not booby), some stuff like that.

Good Luck!

Well, where I live it's the name of a town, but I think its a cute name for a girl actually. Not so much a boy, but either way if you like it then go for it!

It's different, and kind of appealing. Auburn Elizabeth is pretty; Auburn James is nice.

Are you an alum? I know a James Madison grad who named his daughter Madison.

I don't like it. And if the kid gets blonde hair for example, the name won't suit very well at all. Like with the name Blondie or Goldie, you expect blonde hair. With the name Auburn, you expect auburn hair.
