NO that doesn't qualify, giving aid and comfort to the enemy does. So most of the Democratic party the New York Times and Washington post can be tried for Treason.

The elements of Treason are specified in the US Constitution. They are stringent and specific which is why it is rarely used. It is very hard to be charged with treason in the US. Remember, at the time of the writing of the constitution "treason" was a catch all charge that covered almost any action the sovereign did not like. On the other hand the constitution does authorize the death penalty for treason so any argument that the prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment forbids capital punishment is very selective in their reading of the text.

Criticizing the President during war time or any other is not treason. Treason is defined in Article III of the US Constitution as follow:
"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court."
So the answer to your question is obviously no.

No... That would infringe upon the first amendment.
I would think talking with the Enemy without authorization while an Officer in the Navy...
Openly lying about our soldiers committing atrocities during war...
Visiting the Enemy and providing health, morale and welfare for them...
Should qualify as treason. All of this was committed by John Kerry, Jane Fonda, and Berkley University in the Vietnam Conflict.
Warm regards,
Douglas

Nope. Because in THIS Country, "sticks & stones" may break President's bones (& get the thrower- tossed in jail) but "words" are not justification for Treason. :)

I kind of wish we could go back to the old way so KERMIT M could be hung by the neck until dead for his treason.
