I heard of cases were a 17 year old had sex with a 15 year old and he went to jail for missdemenear sexual assualt but an 18 year old with 17year old could that be a felony stautory rape or a missdomenear.How is it in most states and give examples of states with diffrent laws.

Depends on the state. In some states the age of consent is 16 or 17, so in that case no crime would have been committed.

The laws can be pretty complex, however when the age gap is small the crime tends to be a misdemeanor if it is even a crime.
