They shouldn't need to make laws. These idiots should follow common sense and courtesy.

I don't think that any further laws should be passed. Doing so would take away the freedoms of the press, and the people.

Unfortunately being in the "public eye" has its consequences. I think that in a lot of cases people choose to be celebrities. In some cases, however, people end up in the "public eye," but not by choice. Obviously you can't choose who your family is, and it's a shame that people are harassed by paparazzi just because of their lineage.

Having said that, should the rest of us forfeit our freedoms to take pictures when and where we want (in public) just for the privacy of a few?

I think if paparazzi cross the line and assault or injure someone, that just like everyone else, they should be held accountable for such crimes.

Unfortunately, even punishing paparazzi for things they do wrong doesn't deter them. This is because of money. They're willing to pay a ticket or spend some time in jail because the fees they are paid for their work are worth it to them.

I think that the only way to solve this problem lies in the hands of the people. If people stopped subscribing to, and purchasing the media which these paparazzi work for, then the paparazzi would be out of jobs.

I think it is up to the people to be conscious consumers and be aware of what media features works of paparazzi, and what media is legitimate and fair.

The problem is, in order to get people to be aware of these issues would require a lot of education, and who is going to pay for that? I think a lot of organizations and individuals have tried to bring these issues into the light, but unfortunately celebrity "dirt" sells, and as long as it does, the paparazzi will continue to harass people in the name of entertainment and money.
