Well first off, I'm 15 years old, about to be 16 in january. So yesterday I was running around outside w/ my friend at his house. We ended up jumping over a fence and when I did, I landed on my back. So a few extra details: I'm a virgin. Also, after the fall, there were no signs of blood. Knowing all of this, wuts the likelihood that I broke my hymen? Thanks =]

Probably not. And besides, some women are not born with one or with what is called an imperforate hymen (or partial hymen). Also it can easily be broken with use of tampons.

I am with wcanoodle. A sudden jarring can cause the hymen to rupture. It is painless and doesn't always bleed. Sometimes you are not born with an intact or complete hymen. Tampons can definitely break it. In the end, the hymen is not an accurate sign of virginity, as some would think. You know what you are doing. That is the only thing that matters.

Women are more active now then in years past. Thank goodness! So very few of us have an unbroken hymen when we first have sex. I don't think landing on your back would break it. You would have to have landed with the fence between your legs.
But the point is, whether you broke it or not it doesn't matter. It won't hurt you either way.

if you landed on your back, then that does not cause any damage to your hymen. now lets say some how you ended up landing on the fence and straddling it (first of all OUCH) that may cause the hymen to tear. but I really dont think so. Usually the hymen is torn by intercourse and sometimes by the use of a tampon.

Don't worry. Breaking your hymen does not ruin your virginity. Many time it'll get torn with you are trying to insert a pad anyway. You are still a virgin. No doubt about it. Here's a great link to a good website. http://kidshealth.com/teen/sexual_health/girls/virgin.html

Well... you fell on your back, so I don't think that would break it unless the pointed top of the fence banged in between your legs when you were trying to climb over..and that would probably hurt!

You could have broken your hymen. You can break it by riding a bike. You can do anything and break it.

more likely you broke your head, your hymen can break from being a cheerleader, horseback riding , floor exercises , gymnast, etc.

if there was no blood, and you fell on your back, and there was no form of penetration.. i'm guessing your hymen is fine.
