He hasn't done anything bad and from what I have seen, has been a great role model and inspiration for people. It's about time that we forget about his bobbled snap, everyone has a bad game.

He is a great QB. He does his job with heart and a little laugh on the side. The thing I like most about this guy is that he is still playing like a kid playing college ball. He is having fun and getting things accomplished at the same time. He turned a possible death sentence of a mistake into a gain of 4 yards and a first down. He didn't just fall on the ball and take the loss of yards like any other QB in the league would have done. He is playing like he has nothing to lose, because he doesn't have anything to lose. He doesn't have a long term deal with Dallas and he doesn't have a guarantee of one either. He has a great front line that is giving him the time that he needs to make plays. He has a wide array of weapons that he can use. All around this WHOLE team is getting better. TO is learning that he doesn't have to touch the ball on every play in order to make a difference, he is a distraction and he gets that now. Jason Witten is becoming one of the best TE in the league. The double threat of Jones and Barber is both keeping their legs fresh and rested and throwing the defense off their game. What happened to Chicago being the best defense in the NFL? They have made a complete 180 since the en of their season last year, and Romo and the Cowboys have done the same thing. Give credit where credit is due.

To those who say he hasn't done anything yet he's only played 14 games so far, not even an entire season's worth. Who has been an undrafted QB from Div. II school who played perfect and won a superbowl as soon as he started? It's a crazy expectation. As for the person who said that Bledsoe wouldn't have fumbled the snap, that's right b/c Bledsoe would have been watching the game at home having thrown too many INTs. I agree with the person who said that he plays like he has nothing to lose, b/c if we think about it he's getting paid to play football, a game that we all love and enjoy but none of us get paid for. Why should he feel like he has something to lose? That smile, do you think it's just b/c he's cocky, no... he knows that it's crazy that someone could get paid millions for playing a game. The man enjoys the game and you can see that. And as for the ending of last season, it's pretty hard to win when your D is giving up more that 34 points a game and your coach is so stubborn on sticking with the game plan that he'll run the ball 35 times for 40 yards. Look at what Garrett gives him to work with (ie the Bears game no running ok just throw). This combo will be great, as long as Garrett sticks around, for a long time b/c they just have fun.

I was a Drew Bledsoe fan, so I don't think he is really all that great. Bledsoe wouldn't have screwed up the hold in last year's playoffs, so the Cowboys would have advanced and maybe gone to the Super Bowl. Bledsoe could beat Manning, Romo can't.

He's a great runner, but they get figured out quickly, especially when he goes up against intricate or great defenses. He will have a huge test against the Patriots next week. If he pulls off an upset, he will deserve praise, not yet, though with no Postseason victories.

This year - No victories against teams with winning records (OK, Same as Brady and Manning - but with no rings and no playoff victories)

Last year - 1-2 against teams with winning records

6-6 overall.

This is not the second coming of Joe Montana, people. I mean come on!!!!!

MOstly because of Cowboy fans. Many are such arrogant, uninformed idiots, htat it makes the rest of us involuntarily consider all things Dallas to be over-hyped and pathetic.

The other reason, is that while he started last season very well, and this season also.....he did struggle thru the ensd of the season. We have not even seen a fulll season from the guy to tell if he is the real deal....or another Eli, who always starts strong, then struggles after week 8. If we see him play strong all season, then he will deserve notice. But even then, he still has to prove himself. Its taken Palmer 4 seasons to be considered elite, Manning and Brady were similiar.

So in short, if your fellow fans would stop ramming this Romo for President, and Dallas has won the SuperBowl (4 months before it is even played) crap down the rest of our throats....we might be inclined to take him, and Cowboys fans in general, just a little more seriously.

(As for all the Tony Homo comments...I suspect it is rather like all the grief Jeff Gordon gets down South....for some reason, when you out perform the other guys, date and or marry super-hot chicks, and actually don't act like a jack-***, but seem to be enjoying yourself...you gotta be gay. Which I guess, somehow makes some idiots feel better)

*Homiel34.....you bring out great points.....expecting him to have played perfect last year, or instant SuperBowl to prove himself is unrealistic. But that is exactly what most CowBoys fan's are trying to project him as. I have never said that he doesn't have potential.... I just say it is too early to annoint him as Peyton Mannings replacement as QB King.

Romo is an unproven QB. Last year he couldn't even hold a snap. He has yet to play a tough team with a solid QB. He hasn't played a full season yet. They haven't even reached the meat of their schedule yet. Everyone is on the Dallas bandwagon just like they are on all undefeated teams' bandwagons. As soon as they lose, T.O. will blow up, they'll want Phillips fired, and the media will ask what's wrong. The thing about Dallas is their schedule is always one of the more weaker schedules in football. Consider this: how good would Dallas be in the AFC? How good would Romo be in the AFC? He lost his last few games of the regular season last year. He is very overrated. He was a backup to Bledsoe! I think most people have forgotten that. Dallas will never win with Romo because the toughest game they would play would come in the Super bowl. Chargers, Steelers, Colts, Patriots, Bengals with a defense, Dallas would never hang. They played in the weakest division for years in the NFC. They only teams Dallas played during their glory years in the 90's were SF and Green Bay, and Buffalo in the Super bowl. That's it. Dallas hasn't won anything in 12 years, yet they're the best in the NFL? When did they last win the NFC East? Aikman is gone, and so is Smith and Irvin. I give Phillips 3 years at the most in Dallas. He won't win a ring in that time, so he'll get fired, just like Parcells, and he went to the playoffs! Best in the NFL? Hmmmmmmmm.....................

This coming from a Denver fan:

I think subconsciously it has something to do with jealously. Example: Denver had Jake Plummer as their starting QB he wasn't producing. Enter Jay Cutler.

Dallas around the same time Bledsoe was replaced by Romo. Romo produced and Cutler showed signs of promise but just didn't grab the game plan as fast as Romo. My initial reaction was "It's just a couple of games, don't by the hype you retards." The thing I noticed about Romo is he does not make many mistakes and he knows his offense pass routes.

I'm not a fan of Romo but I do have to say the kid is looking good.

People dont like him because he is too good, thats all i can think of. He is a great role model for the kids. Never done anything wrong, and seems to be an all around nice guy. Plus he has that award winning smile.

Well I have to agree with (Steelers#1) it is because he has been successful so far this season, he made the pro bowl without playing a full season last year, he smiles too much(even my flag football team that consist of 4,5 and 6 yr old know they are not allowed to smile during a football game) and other fans fear him and are worried if their defense can tame him. Plus his girlfriend is Hott!!

Well, let me put it this way. I saw a Patriots fan write that the reason people hate the Pats is that "People hate that they are successful". I suppose it is for the same reason that people hate Romo. He is having a great season so far.
