The best way to get it is to gather a large group of folks together and start calling in to request it. Comcast regularly negotiates for extra channels to add to their lineup, but the more people demanding a certain channel the harder (and higher) they'll negotiate for it.

I'm a Time Warner customer. It just started carrying ESPNU the first weekend of September. It's a darn good station for college fans.

I remember a similar deal when ESPN2 was born in 1995 (or 96?) Few cable co's had it at first, but it's now on just about every channel lineup.

I'm sure a lot of Comcast customers are writing/calling in requesting. With enough politicking, it'll happen.
