Oppose the americans for what? Starting a war for oil. Committing the same attrocities as the previous regime . Hell the people cant walk down the road anymore, Baghdad is blocked off from the rest of Iraq. I read one the answers saying we are trying to stop the terrorists from spreading islam all over the world..
No i dont think history will judge the americans poorly only because we will write the history books.

There is no America, it was inhabited by immigrants who killed or corralled the indigenous population. Considering that the modern world is built on greed and power I suspect that the "west" will not judge harshly. My country invented the "industrialised" concept, the USA capitalised on this. That may explain why the "west" looks to America as it's saviour. History will not not judge this lack of opposition, it will just see it as an opportunity wasted. What was the potential to make a better world, has made a few rich! That is the injustice, and that in my view is why the US is both admired and detested. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer, opportunity is all. I do admire Bill Gates tho, give your trillions away, there are no pockets in a shroud, make your kids work for it!

When the crazy Muslims set off an atomic weapon in some large city, many nations will be judged harshly for not supporting us. And the shame will be laid at the feet of the American left. The democrat party will cease to exist.

Or will history judge harshly for the civilised nations and groups that try to appease Muslim terrorist and oppose those who wanted to stop them?
Look how this world now judges Chamberline for making "peace" with Hitler before he storm into Poland.

It's a very difficult question to answer as there are quite a number of different areas your question may apply to. With regards to greenhouse gas emissions and the failure to sign the Kyoto protocols the USA and Australia will be condemned in the future.
However with regards to foreign policy, in particular the so called War on Terror the other civilised (First World nations) who spoke out against current US foreign policy will not be judged as harshly as the USA and her co-belligerants the UK and Australia. I furthermore suspect that the US media will quite justifiably be subject to derision in the future when historians review the current epoch.

Your pompous use of the word "civilised" epitomises the world today. As does the term "Americans". Which Americans are you talking about? Assume it must be the USA variety. The mongrel of dissatisfied Europeans that moved over there less than 250 years ago. The Vietnamese and Koreans managed to oppose them fairly successfully in the middle of the 20th century.
China is still well opposed to American ideology. Do they fall into the category of "civilised".?
History does not judge. It is inanimate. It is usually written by the winners of military conflicts. The USA has not won many off its own bat.

No.
It will judge harshly those who opposed the United States' efforts to eliminate terrorism, as history judges harshly those who tried to appease Hilter and the Nazis.

I believe it IS the Americans who have been standing up to uncivilised and merciless countries for generations.
Americans have defended the weak and defeated the strong. And asking a stupid question like that makes me believe that you probably come from one of those uncivilised countries that incurred the wrath of the USA at some point.

If the terrorists win, and they achieve their goal of making the whole world muslim, then yes, history will judge them harshly.
