Since I do not know either, I will just make a guess. The sheriff would be a man in a uniform performing a dangerous job. How sexy. But, the engineer would be very intelligent and make good salary. Is Engineer Bill available? He would be my pick.

I lived in Whitter, California at the time.

YES!!!! Red light, green light. And the train taking all week to get to the top while we drank milk and chanted, "I think I can I think I can." I loved Engineer Bill.

But Sheriff John was my favorite. I would run home from school at lunchtime. Mom had a lunch tray set up for me in front the the television set. I drew a picture and sent it in once. I still know the birthday song... "Put another candle on my birthday cake, my birthday cake, may birthday cake! Put another candle on my birthday cake, I'm another year old today!" Then he would read off our names. He had Crusader Rabbit cartoons and Felix the Cat.

I like Chucko the Clown, too. And Tom Hatton was to die for. He showed Popeye cartoons and drew things from squiggles. And he wore really tight white clothes, too.

Thanks for the memories!!

Nannie! I lived in Northridge from 1955 - 1967. Moo to you.

Absolutely, both of them, I always wanted to win one of those HO car kits Engineer Bill gave away on the show, Red Light, Green Light. I think Engineer Bill was "Bill Stulla" in life.

Once again, culturally deprived, I guess...although Engineer Bill sounds vaguely familiar. Sorry!
