I can't acess ALL my own data can u help??????

i have back up all my data in a portable hard drive,and then i formatted all my hard drive ,now after installing windows i was back uping the data but who knows what happened???i can't acess that portable drive ...pc says its currupted or not readable......tell me a good solution

Go to command line and run chkdsk {driveletter} /r

That should fix it.

Hi. Hook up the external drive to a known good PC. If you can read it the problem is with your install.
