Area of square = x² (where x is length of side
therefore x = square.root(of the area)

SQ.root(400) = 20
each tile is 20cm * 20cm
Each tile is 400cm² therefore each tile is 20*20 (L*W)

The area or surface of a square is calculated by S=a^2, "S" being the surface area and "a" being the length of a side. Therefore if S=400, then a=square root of 400, which is 20. So the dimensions of each mirror are 20cm by 20cm.

25 is an immaterial figure here because it shows the number of square tiles and does not affect each square individually.

A square tile must have the same L and w

L*w = 400 cm^2 ; but L =w so take either one

w*w =400 cm^2 or w^2 = 400 cm^2 ; now tak sqrts

w = 20cm.

Each tile is 20cm x 20 cm.

Hope this helps.
