I'm from the Cleveland area and I don't hate LeBron. Without LeBron the Cavs wouldn't have made it to the NBA finals. I can't see why anyone cares what teams he roots for.

Hate is a 4 letter word.

It did nothing for his image that's for sure. But he did say that he wore it because he likes Derek Jeter.

Who's to say that he won't wear an Indian hat if he goes to another game?

Better question, why does TBS waste airtime on him?

Hate is to strong a word. He is just pulling a Kobe, drawing attention to himself when people are interested in other things. NBA players are the biggest Prima-donna,s in the sports world.

I don't think they hate him, after all he led them to the finals last year. They are just messing with him. He can rout for whichever team he likes, but lets face it, if LeBron was to leave Cleveland, they would cry for him to come back.

Who cares what team he roots for as long as he never roots against the Cavs. That would be bad.

I would. You pay him all of that money to play basketball and he turns around an roots against the opposing team.

It's a free country the last time I checked and he can like whoever he wants.

He can root for the Yanks if he wants, no biggie. I mean, I'd like it if he were rooting for a good team like the Tribe, but if he wants to back a bunch of losers, so be it. I don't hold it against him.

He is already lobbying to go play for the Mavericks or the Knicks, huh?

yeah, and he cheered for the bulls growing up too. whoever was winning.

Most of us are ticked now (see cleveland.com) - but we'll get over it when basketball season rolls around again.

i'm sure he'll be all over the tribe once they yanks are out.
