I love all the old Universal ones (Dracula, Frankenstein, etc), Night of the Living Dead, The Exorcist, Halloween, all the usual suspects, I guess. Some I haven't seen in a long time that I used to like were Phantasm, Reanimator, and a forgotten slasher flick called Terror Train. In recent years, I haven't seen too many. 13 Ghosts and The Ring were pretty cool...
The last movie I can remember being physically scared of (in the theater, with the darkness and the sound) was Alien. Man, when that thing jumped on that guys face and melted through his helmet, I didn't know whether to pee myself or throw up! Jaws did a number on me too, as a kid..I don't know if these last two count as horror films or not...
