Hydrogen deuterium and tritium are isotopes.

Isotopes are BLANK of an element which contain the same number of BLANNK and BLANK but different numbers of BLANK.

isotopes are variations of an element which contain the same number of protons and electrons, but different numbers of neutrons.

A word of advice- look in the back of your book for the index, and look up isotope. ;-)
