I am 20 years old and recently have been considering breast reduction. Right now I am a
38 I and I constantly have back, neck, and shoulder pain. I've never had ANY type of surgery and it would be really scary to go through with it. Some of the questions I have are: how do i get started with the insurance (I have Humana PPO)? Is it very Painful? What are the different procedures? Can you breast feed afterwards? I live in Texas in the San Antonio area, can anyone refer me to a good doctor that is board certified? Im willing to travel, maybe say as far as Houston.

First off find a plastic surgeon (three of them) in your health care directory. Then do a consult with each of them.

They will put in all the information and pictures needed to your insurance company.

These two sites will be very helpful, there is a FAQ section that goes over the procedures as well as breastfeeding after reduction (IT CAN be done!).

Wells, best thing for you to look up the yellow pages in your area. Most doctor does have a board cerified. You will find once of them in the yellow pages. You don't have travel to Houston. If you want to. It is wasting money for your gas expense. I means, it's up to you.

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
