I think you have a weak fuel pump or a clogged fuel filter. It sounds like your pump can't supply fuel pressure to the injectors as fast as the engine uses it. Of course, it's fine when you first start it up because you aren't using much fuel at that time and the fuel rail is fully pressurized.
Good luck!

I agree with Aussie Bloke. Worked on a car that was fine around town, but would die on highway after a few miles. It had a plugged in tank fuel filter.
On your car, the fuel pump is in the tank. There is also a pre pump filter in the tank.
To test remove the incoming fuel line and test for fuel flow. If either of the filters, or the pump is bad, you should get good flow initially, them it will slow or stop. Filter by the engine is easiest to change, so go there first.
Plugged injectors usually show up as one cylinder not having power, then going to another. They usually either work or not, but don't start working just by sitting.
Could also check by putting a fuel pressure gage in line to see if a pressure drop happens at the same time as your car dying.

Maybe the Mass air flow sensor port is blocked or over heating for some reason.
The engine is shutting off the fuel pump because it thinks there is no air flow (the engine has died due to a accident or such).

fuel pump just that simple, but it can be a few more things like ignition, change your fuel pump and do a massive tune up then come back again if problem persists
after do that job take two panadols and take some sleep that will help too :D

dirty fuel injector, leak on the exhaust, bad fuel, water in the piston chamber. IF there is no check engine light on could be your fuel filter.
