Depends if its your first or not too.
anyway, I am 2 cm dilated and I'm 35 weeks. I was 1 cm around 32 weeks.
I always have irregular contractions. more like braxton hicks contractions though.
Your doc would know best. If you are worried and think he/she should do more about it, do into the ER and ask for a stress test. They can tell you how your contracting.
good luck and congrats

It is common for women to start dialating early...33 weeks is quite a bit earlier then they normally see it though. I would call your doctor and tell him you are contracting even if it is irregular. anything over 5 an hour is something they want to know about generally. Drink a large glass of water and try to lay down for a bit. If he isn't concerned I would just skip calling him and head right into the L&D ward and have them do an exam. You sound like you're at risk for an early delivery.

Don't worry about what everyone else is telling you. Ask your doctor. You can be dialated at 1.5 for several weeks or just a few days. You have heard of premature babies right? Well, it is possible then... If your contractions start to get closer together and more regular, you are going into labor. Take a visit to your obgyn to get checked out. Good luck mommy!

Your fine, i started dialting and having regular contraction every 5 min, at about 35 weeks and didn't deliver until almost 38 with my son, I had lost my mucus plug at about 32. With my daughter I was 3 cm dialated at 32 weeks and nothing else until about 37 when ihad her. they even tried inducing me at 36 because of it, but it didn't work. Your doc probably isn't concerned because you are so close to 34 weeks and that is what they shoot for in deliveries that look like they will be early because your child should be fine after that

Don't be worried. As long as your further than 32 weeks it's ok for you to go into labor. I walked around dialated at 3cm for 6 weeks before I finally went into real labor. Your body knows when it's time. It's something natural that you should not be afraid of. If your dr isn't concerned, then try to relax and let nature do the rest.

Yes, this is all normal. I was dialated at 2cm by 28wks with my second baby. I had to be induced at 41 wks for being overdue. So it has nothing to do with expecting an early delivery.
Relax and enjoy the final weeks of this precious time in your life.
Good luck with everything

If the doctor told you that you were dialated, and didn't show any concern, then you shouldn't worry. The doctor knows best, not everyone else. Relax, don't get stressed over nothing.

you are the superb decide in this as you are the only that talks to this guy. i can not see that assembly in a public place might pose a situation, yet this is right down to you. on the tip of the day the assumption is a sturdy one, however the actuality could be a nightmare. you finally end up loosing your information superhighway pal or you benefit a real one. i could admit i'm sceptical for here reasons. i replaced into 30+ as quickly as and a twenty 365 days previous woman could have been good up my street. remember i'm made up of flesh and blood and at a similar time as a communicate may well be on the time table, if honest i might produce different ideas. That via ways would not qualify me as a pervert, purely a guy.

Is he not worried about the contractions? I started contractions at 31 weeks--5 minutes apart regularly. So I was put on bedrest, and the contractions stopped, over and over and over. Until 36-6, and then they let my baby be born.
I'd keep timing those contractions. They're probably just Braxton Hicks, but mine weren't.

it may not be common but it is possible, you can be dialated 1.5 cm for the next month. you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
but if you walk alot you may have that baby a couple weeks earlier, which is fine too.
