Does anyone else think all the "real" sports are just as dirty with Steroid/Human grown hormone as the WWE or any other pro wrestling group?

Until we get up-to-date testing for HGH and other types of performance enhancers, it's very difficult to say that ANY sport is clean....

Jay...of course I know that! Why do you think I would ask a rhetorical question?

I've been arguing that from the beginning of this steroid mess!

No. most sports do not have nearly as high a percentage of steroid users as the WWE. the only sport that may be comparable is baseball, and even that is far off because of the large # of players in the league. I truly believe that more than half of pro wrestlers use performance enhancing drugs, while even high estimates in sports do not crack double digit %.

Dont take this the wrong way, i still love wrestling, its just more dependent on steroids than other sports.

Lets see, it all depends how the media looks at this.

For example Mr Kennedy blabbed on TV and we found out he used roids.
Rodney Harrison uses HGH and shows like PTI, Around the Horn and even SportsCenter dont take it seriously ... or they take the "If your not cheating, your not trying' route.

There is a definate biased towards wresstling and drug use.

Imagine wrestling is that naughty little boy who cant help but get in trouble, he still does his work, but always seems to get in trouble.
Then there is a group in the class (The big boys - NFL, NBA, NHL etc) who disrupt all the time, but the teacher (The media) lets them get away with it because they think its fun.

We will never be able to say "My sport is clean" not even Lawn Bowls is clean - In Australia a 75 year old man was arrested for drug possession and distributing performance inhancing drugs to his fellow players at his local bowls club.

Sport is just going to have to deal with it, lets hope Justice (Not the 6 sacks loser Winston Justice) prevails and the clean athletes win

Great question

I can't think of any sport I'd consider clean right now. The "real" sports are dirty, but are better at hiding it. It's to the point that they almost need to bring in a third party to do the testing and have them regulate all sports, and dole out similar punishments for dirty athletes no matter what sport they are in.

It's sad that sports have gotten to this point, where the need to win by any means over-rides even a person's concern for their own health and well being. And this hurts us as fans. It's hard to want to cheer for anything these days. Any time anyone accomplishes anything of note there's always that question: did he do it cleanly?

I think it is such a shame. They used to play for the love of the game, didn't charge for autographs, and the worst thing to find an athlete doing was smoking or drinking....they didn't fight dogs, rape women and totally think they were above the law....strutting around in designer suits with all that bling just makes me sick. There may be a few that still have integrity but they are few in number.

Sports are a money game now. I don't enjoy them...even college sports are tainted. I wouldn't be surprised to find, they are reaching into the High Schools, and giving them cars and such to guarantee they sing with them.....how sad!
I wish we could get back to the way it was, but that is just not going to happen ever again. The love of the game, the innocence is all gone.

NOOOOO SPORT IS CLEAN !!!

Someone will always be looking for a boost to get them ahead, whether its football, basketball, hockey, wrestling, track, golf, tennis etc.. Its just the nature of the beast. Someone wants to be the best no matter what.

I agree that they need better tests done to find such cheaters, but the people behind HGH and Steriods are so far ahead of the test, they will never be able to catch up.

THANK YOU!!!!

It is true that no sport is clean (maybe Golf, but you never know now), but no one talks about steroid use in other sports compared to professional wrestling. The only people that say things about wrestlers being on steroids are haters and trolls, and it's only to annoy us.

No sport is "clean". There's always going to be someone trying to get a step over the competition. Even if testing improves, so will the ways to get around it.

We would surely be surprised if all athletes that have done roids came forward. No sport is clean.
