...for their faith.
Congressman Tom Tancredo, one of 42 voting “present,” in a press release after the vote cited the resolution as "an example of the degree to which political correctness has captured the political and media elite" in America. He further stated: “I am not opposed to commending any religion for their faith. The problem is that any attempt to do so for Jews or Christians is immediately condemned as ’breaching’ the non-existent line between Church and State by the same elite.”
Your thoughts?

It's nice to know that the affairs of this Country are in such able hands as those belonging to the utter morons in the House of Representatives. This just begs the question, who are the Representatives representing? My Representative is Ron Klein and I seriously doubt that he's representing my interests because before he was a Representative, he was a lobbyist. I'd also be willing to bet he's one of the geniuses who signed on to this ridiculous resolution.

Sounds like Tancredo nailed that one. I'm glad we still have some clear thinking and speaking politicians.
I'm just deeply troubled by the obvious need of some to kiss muslim **** in an effort to curry favor with the extremists, because thats all it was good for.

I think I might celebrate Ramadan by painting a lovely picture of the Prophet Muhammad.

Sounds like an unconstitutional resolution to me. I agree with Tom except for the "non-existent line" business.
AND I AGREE WITH BRIAN::: first time ever by the way. Congress has much more important things to deal with.

Is there any chance that maybe the House could do some actual work? The US government has no business honoring any religious holiday as has been made so perfectly clear over the last several years.........

If they're going to do this for one faith, they'd better be prepared to do this for all of them. This is clearly unconstitutional and out of line. Where is the equality?

Why did they not include say all religions? Is it because most religions are lock stock and barrel against their non-believe system? Why didn't they honor the ARCANE or WITCH CRAFT also?
This smacks of Hypocrisy.
