Yes, but that's no reason for the US to lower itself to his level. When we used Saddam's notorious prison, Abu Ghraib, we sent a clear message to the Iraqi people that the US was no better.

Yes, but his definition of torture involved breaking bones and causing other forms of serious physical harm.

The definition of torture in America apparently is making people think they are drowning.
