At the end of the day you have to do what makes you happy. As long as you can assure yourself that you absolutely won't regret it later in life then i say go for it! That being said, i personally agree with some of the other answerers and think that having the meaning and not your name would look more tasteful.

My boyfriend tattoed my name on his arm. Then about 6 months later I dumped him. So I would never tatoo anyones name on my arm that i was dating. Just kids or maybe my husband if we were married for over like 10 years.

None. Tattoos are permanent while the people in my life arent. If I had to get a tattoo of someone's name, then it would be my future children.
