I was VERY lucky with my daughter, she pretty much started sleeping through the night at around 3 weeks. She is a year old now, and still sleeps like a champ, but of course she sometimes has those nights where she wants to wake up 2 or 3 times.

With my daughter, she started sleeping through the night at 2 months. On the other hand my son still does not quite sleep through the night yet at nearly a year.

The answer is never. My son is 8 and still wakes up from time to time. As an infant he slept through the night after a few months. If your baby wakes up a lot it's usually because they are getting hungry. Try mixing a little bit of cereal with their milk to help them to stay full. Don't let him take more than 2 short naps during the day.

Good luck I hope you dont have to deal with that,my friend has two boys and both were up till almost a year and two girls who where sleeping through by about 4 months , I think girls do better for some reason.

My daughter is 13 months old and still doesn't sleep through the night. She gets up at least once, some times twice.

Yes, all children are different. That said, normally I have been told it most common around 6mos of age. Yikes!! I can't imagine going that long. I was lucky.
My oldest was sleeping thru the night (7hrs straight) at 6wks of age.
My middle son was sleeping thru the night one week after we switched his formula which happened at three mos of age. I think he would have slept thru earlier but was stomach complications with the original formula.
My youngest started sleeping thru the night at about 2mos of age, but he also had health issues and had to sleep on his stomach (not recommended) but had a breathing maching on him for the first 6mos of life.
