Maybe a Democratic candidate who isn't the last pickle in the barrel.
Last time, I felt like Kerry was the nominee by default rather than for any merits of his own. I still voted for him, but I had to hold my nose to do it.

The Republican nominee. Those are the DINO's. (Democrat-In-Name-Only) No self-respecting Democrat could have voted for a corporate puppet/armchair warrior like Bush in good conscience. There are usually around 10% of DINO's and RINO's that vote the opposite party in each election; They are not the ones that swing the election. Those are the 25% or Independents that swing back and forth based on the issues and candidates each time...

Probably someone in the democratic party since Bush turned out to be such a disappointment with his popularity falling everyday.

Any of the Republican candidates is likely to pick up typically Democratic voters.
The appeal to many democrats is obvious for candidates like Giulani, and Romney. And McCain has a number of democratic supporters due to his history in the Senate of working on a bi-partisan basis to pass needed legislation.
Though Thompson may seem like the candidate lest likely to pick up democratic voters I still see potential for him to pick up a few votes from the democratic party. Right now he is running as the conservative voice of the republican party but I think he will be a bit more centrist after the primaries.
Even a candidate like Ron Paul would pick up a number of democratic voters just to witness a major change in our current system.

I think that the Republicans shouldn't count on getting many Democratic votes. My suggestion is that they fix the election with Diebold voting machines.

Probably Giuliani.
Samantha - I just love liberals that hate to lose. It makes the victory that much sweeter. The endless complain about how the election was rigged or the voting machines are programmed to always have a Republican winner. Its so much fun I can hardly wait to do it again next year.
