That's funny. Just because a man has married and fathered children does not mean he cannot be gay. But I do not believe William Shatner is gay; he is just in love with himself! I think that makes him a Mono-sexual.

All the marriages, kids........ he's all into the horse/western thing, etc. The way he carrries himself. Doubtful he is gay so it is really not worth speculating. We are not talking all Elton John or something.
To the answer that said all of this does not mean he is not gay. Well someone obviously has some hidden issues. Even if Shatner did like a guy..... whatever it is his business. Say a person liked sheep. Is it time to have sheep pride week, sheep pride rallies. Start talking and dressing funny? Whatever. What you do behind closed doors stays behind closed doors. I'm straight and have no need to advertise how great my lifestyle is. If Shatner was gay even in the slightest (no way) I would give him kudos for not being a flamer.
Actually I think he's pretty funny. He is just a guy and it seems that with his commercials and such has made a career and is not afraid to laugh at himself. The commercials are ridiculous..... he is not trying to be a great actor.
It is Sulu who came out of the closet.

Actors are very experimental humans.
Almost all of them has dressed in drag
and tried to imagine and take on other persona.
That does not mean they do not have
a persona of thier own.
I would say no....in real life he is straight.
Even when on a show he could be otherwise.
Whoever bet he is gay...will most likely loose.

Everything from beauty pageants to beer commercials our culture is saturated with straight sex... "Straights" who "don't want to see it" are 99.99999999999999999% gay and the reason they are afraid of two guys holding hands in public is they don't want to be tempted.... you are not fooling anyone!
